Units are used to conquer other countries and defend yours. They are the basis of your victory or your demise. Wargame features five types of unit each having a unique attack and a defence power. While these stats are not available to players, keep in mind that they are different for each nation (for instance, U.S.S.R. missiles are stronger than those of the Great Khalifa). You can build units in every country with a Supply Center.

Soldiers
Soldiers are the bread and butter of every army. While their attack and defence powers are not very high, they are cheap and the only unit able to take control of a country.

Ships
Ships are a key element in victory. While their attack and defence powers are moderate, they are the fastest way to bring your soldiers directly behind the enemy lines.

Aircrafts
Military aircrafts are the ultimate weapons to carry out a quick and devastating attack. It is an attack only unit and thus has no defence power.

Missiles
Ever wanted to try the power of destruction of a Tomahawk ? Missiles are one shot units, however they are relatively cheap and have a devastating firepower.

Commandos
The pinnacle of a military force, commandos are highly trained and deadly. They are very expensive to train, available in limited number but are the single most powerful unit in the game.

Spies
While spies are not real units (you cannot recruit them), you can use your national intelligence agency to send undercover agents to undertake two different kinds of mission. First, you can spy enemy countries to learn more about their resources and defences. Secondly, you can bribe enemy countries to make them easier to conquer. It is rumoured that the European Democratic Federation has also special hitmen trained to assassinate enemy generals.

Although we work hard to provide you with a challenging AI, we think that nothing can be more entertaining than fighting against your friends. Wargame has various multiplayer options to ensure that your iPhone or iPod touch is a man-portable battlefield.

On the same iPhone or iPod Touch
You can play with up to six players on the same iPhone or iPod Touch. With this feature you can be sure that history lessons won’t be as boring as usual.

Bluetooth and Local Area
Both Bluetooth and Local Area multiplayer allow you to challenge other owners of Wargame who dare to stand in your vicinity. Will you be able to find an enemy strong enough to resist your might ?

Direct IP
War is everywhere ! With Direct IP multiplayer, you can fight other players all over the world. Are you ready to claim the title of Master of the World ?

If you want to achieve world domination, overtaking countries is just a first step. Wargame allows you to develop your nation through a unique upgrade system.

Standard country upgrades
The standard country upgrades come in two forms available to all nations. The Air Water Field Defence System (aka AWFDS) is the 21st century Great Wall of China. With the AWFDS, your countries will become harder to conquer. The Supply Center is a training facility and a factory. It allows you to enroll troops. Building a Supply Center on a distant conquest will enable you to recruit your men directly in front of the enemy lines.

Unique country upgrade
Each nation has a unique special country upgrade that won’t be available to other nations. For instance, the U.S.A. are able to bring Capitalism in every conquered country. Capitalism grants a 50% bonus to the country cash per turn.

World upgrade
Once you’ve earn enough money, you can build the ultimate upgrade of your faction to achieve supreme power. World upgrades are an extremely powerful tool that will change your nation worldwide. For instance, the U.S.A. are able to launch the Manhattan Project. Manhattan Project allows you to build and use two tactical nuclear warheads. You have mastered the power of the atom and can now unleash the wrath of God upon your enemies !

As you progress through the game and conquer more and more countries, your general will gain ranks and medals.

Ranks will reinforce the power of your leader and his effect upon your troops. While a standard general will only grant a small bonus to all your troops, a Generalfeldmarschall will make your men harder than steel.

Medals are more cosmetics, however ask yourself one question : wouldn't you be the king of the party if you could bear proudly the medal of honor on your uniform ?
